I have a 2009 Ford Flex and the electrical system has gone crazy. Took it to the dealer and they said I needed a Smart Junction Box. Just have 41,500 miles on the car. Of course, the warranty is not now in effect. Cost is almost 0. It is on a sticker on the SJB (Smart Junction Box) which is up under the dash to the left of the steering column above the e-brake pedal assy.
The tricky thing is that it does show on the parts diagram but when you search, the parts it finds for 15604 do not fit your vehicle if you do a generic 2014 Ford Flex search. You get more exact results if you input your VIN.
